FEP Polyimide Film is a high-performance, heat-bondable electrical insulation film made by laminating polyimide base film with a thin layer of FEP (Fluorinated Ethylene Propylene) copolymer on one or both sides. This hybrid structure provides outstanding thermal endurance, excellent dielectric strength and superior chemical resistance. Once heated above the melt temperature of FEP, the film becomes heat-sealable and forms strong bonds with metals, coils, conductors and insulating substrates.
FEP Polyimide Film is used in motors, high-temperature coils, aerospace electronics, EV motors, transformers and applications requiring exceptional durability and bonding strength. It maintains stable performance from cryogenic temperatures up to Class H (180°C) and beyond, making it suitable for extreme electrical and environmental conditions. The FEP coating gives the film moisture resistance, low friction, high chemical resistance and the ability to create hermetic seals.

FEP Coated Polyimide Film is a high-performance electrical insulation film made by coating polyimide base film with a thin, uniform layer of FEP (Fluorinated Ethylene Propylene). This coating provides exceptional heat-bonding capability, chemical resistance and moisture protection, while maintaining the thermal endurance and electrical strength of polyimide.
When the film is heated above the melting temperature of FEP (around 250°C), the coating becomes adhesive, allowing the film to bond tightly to metals, copper conductors, coils and insulation components. This makes FEP Coated Polyimide Film an ideal choice for applications requiring high-temperature bonding, wrapping, insulation sealing, and coil consolidation.
It offers excellent dielectric strength, low shrinkage, high dimensional stability and reliable performance across a very wide temperature range. FEP Coated Polyimide Film is widely used in motors, EV motors, aerospace electronics, transformers, battery packs, flexible circuits and magnetic wire insulation.
