Flexible Laminates

Flexible Laminates and Composite Insulation Papers are multi-layer electrical insulation materials used in motors, transformers, generators, EV motors and industrial coil systems. These laminates are produced by combining high-temperature materials such as aramid paper, polyester film, polyimide film and nonwoven polyester using heat-resistant adhesive systems. This multi-layer construction delivers improved electrical strength, thermal stability and mechanical durability for long-life insulation applications.

These materials are available in common combinations such as NMN (Nomex-Mylar-Nomex), DMD (Polyester Film + Nonwoven Polyester), NH, NK, AMA, APA and other Class B, F and H laminates. Each laminate provides a balance of flexibility, dielectric strength and heat resistance, making it suitable for both manual and automated winding operations.

Flexible laminates are widely used as slot liners, slot closures, phase insulation, coil wrapping, interlayer insulation and barrier insulation in rotating electrical machines. They maintain stable electrical performance under heat, vibration and continuous electrical load. Their strong bonding with varnish, epoxy and resin improves insulation rigidity after curing and reduces insulation failure.

These composite insulation papers are supplied in rolls and sheet formats with customized widths, thicknesses and layer combinations. They offer consistent performance, excellent formability and long service life in demanding electrical environments.

Once cured, it creates a robust insulation structure that improves coil life, reduces vibration-related failures and enhances overall electrical performance in demanding applications.

AHA Laminated Aramid Polyimide Paper is a high-temperature Class H (180°C) composite insulation laminate designed for motors, transformers, EV motors and high-performance electrical equipment. It is manufactured by laminating aramid insulation paper on both sides of a polyimide film using a heat-resistant adhesive system. This three-layer structure provides excellent dielectric strength, mechanical rigidity and long-term thermal endurance.

The aramid layers offer strong insulation, flexibility and resistance to chemical attack, while the polyimide core film provides outstanding thermal stability and high breakdown voltage. AHA laminates maintain electrical and mechanical performance even under continuous high temperatures, vibration and overload conditions. They are suitable for automated winding, slot insulation, coil wrapping and high-frequency electrical applications.
